The McKinney Factor: Obama's Nightmare, Is Losing Because Of Cynthia McKinney - Black Faces In High Places

"Even without the dirty tactics, an Obama scandal, a damning revelation, a gaffe, or more flips, reversals, and shifts by him to the right could sour more left side Democrats and Independents on him.

But this doesn't mean that McKinney can't toss a curve at Obama. She's got energy, charisma, has name recognition and is on the ballot in thirty six states, a handful of them are crucial swing states that Obama and McCain will wage war to win.

The tantalizing possibility that McKinney might pull two to three percent of the vote nationally is more than a wild stretch. In a close to the wire contest between Obama and McCain this could be just enough to cause the Obama camp jitters as Nader did with Democrats in 2000."

Cynthia McKinney: Obama’s Worst Nightmare

Barack Obama is no longer the most historic candidate in this year’s presidential election. When the Green Party nominated Cynthia McKinney, a former Congresswoman who happens to be both African-American AND a woman, as their presidential candidate, the historicality of Obama’s campaign was thrown into question in the eyes of the dozens of Americans who were aware that the Green Party had nominated a candidate.

"Black Faces In High Places" -

Remembering Cynthia McKinney's
Outgoing Impeachment Papers
On Bush, Cheney and Condi Rice

Black voters have never been repelled by Cynthia McKinney’s brand of politics.”

Perhaps most emblematic of her consistent, principled political behavior, was McKinney’s inclusion of Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice as deserving of impeachment, along with her bosses, Bush and Cheney. House Resolution1106 reads :

Condoleezza Rice, in violation of her constitutional duty to share and provide accurate and truthful intelligence information with the Congress, as former National Security Adviser to the President, did play a leading role in deceiving Congress and the American public by repeating and propagating false statements concerning Iraq’s alleged weapons of mass destruction program…. Whereby Condoleezza Rice…did commit and was guilty of high misdemeanors against the United States of America.”

Less than the “high crimes” charged against Bush and Cheney, but sufficient.

Condoleezza Rice, for no good reason, is far less despised among African Americans than Bush and Cheney. But principle requires that Rice should also face congressional indictment. How many members of the Congressional Black Caucus would buck the historical Black current that celebrates “Black faces in high places,” no matter what their crimes? One, that we can be sure of: Cynthia McKinney.

In their eternal quest to erase independent Black political expression, corporate media, corporate Democrats and corporate mercenaries of all varieties seek to portray legitimate African American activist/politicians as “crazed,” “overly emotional,” and “out of step with the Black mainstream.” In reality, these hostile forces attempt to dry up the stream of Black militancy by separating African Americans from their own authentic voices.

"None of the multiple justifications for her arrest have changed," he said.

Condoleezza Rice: World power? I'd rather go shopping

She may be one of the most powerful women in the world, holding court with world leaders and standing centre stage on the international arena, but at heart Condoleezza Rice is just like every other woman – all she wants to do is shop....

Ms Rice, who lives just five minutes from a giant shopping mall in Stanford, California, recalled fondly show he and her mother "hit the stores" every Sunday morning after church when she was a child.

Rice unconcerned by freelance campaign diplomacy

PERTH, Australia (AP) — If Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is worried that Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama is complicating the Bush administration's foreign policy with freelance campaign diplomacy, she isn't showing it.

In her first public comments about Obama's overseas jaunt during which he has contrasted his international approach to that of President Bush in meetings with foreign officials, Rice said the trip was part of the election cycle and would not affect the administration.

"Everybody knows that we are in a presidential campaign, so this a part of America's democratic process," Rice told reporters aboard her plane as she flew from an Asian security conference in Singapore to Australia.

"Sen. Obama is a senator, let's remember. He sits on the Foreign Relations Committee and he is a candidate for president. He is all of those things," she said. "But he has said, and we continue to act on the basis, as do our foreign partners, that this government remains in power until January 2009."

Rice last week reminded U.S. Embassy staff around the world that they should provide only minimal assistance to candidates on campaign trips abroad, but she noted that both Obama and Republican hopeful John McCain had pledged not to run a shadow foreign policy on the stump.

They "have made very clear that there is one president of the United States at a time and that they respect that," she said.

Still time for Mideast peace deal under Bush: Rice

PERTH, Australia (AFP) — There is still time for Israel and the Palestinians to reach a peace agreement before US President George W. Bush leaves office, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said Friday.

"There's still time for them to, in accordance with Annapolis, reach agreement by the end of the year and we'll keep working towards that goal," Rice told a news conference in the West Australian capital Perth.

At talks in Annapolis outside Washington last November, Israel and the Palestinians revived negotiations aiming at concluding a comprehensive peace agreement by the end of 2008.

"The Israelis and the Palestinians have their first serious peace process in seven years and they are discussing very sensitive and difficult issues," Rice said.

RAMALLAH, West Bank – In a meeting here today, Sen. Barack Obama assured the Palestinians he supports a "negotiated settlement" that may grant the Palestinian Authority control over sections of Jerusalem, a senior PA official who took part in the meeting told WND.

"He assured us there was a misunderstanding when he said in [June] he supports the Israelis' rights to hold on to Jerusalem. He told us he corrected this right away and that he supports a negotiated settlement that will give the Palestinians territory," said the PA official.

Israel & American Jews Disenchanted Suspicions With Barack Obama - The Wild Cards Continue

Democrat Barack Obama viewed with suspicion in Israel

Barack Obama pledged yesterday to work for peace between Israel and the Palestinians from his first day in office, hours before arriving in the region where he faces a sceptical audience on both sides of the conflict.

The Democratic presidential candidate, who is struggling to win over Jewish voters in America and is viewed with suspicion in Israel, holds meetings in Jerusalem and the West Bank today during the thorniest leg of his international tour. It will be a far cry from the rapturous public reception that he is likely to receive in Berlin tomorrow.

Disenchantment With Barack Obama Sparks Renewed Grass Roots Vote For Minority Middle Class and Black Community

McKinney Joins The (Third) Party As Barr, Nader Fight On

If history is any indication, McKinney could bring fireworks to the campaign: Political junkies will recall her scuffle with a Capitol Police Officer, her suggestion that Mr. Bush might have been involved in the Sept. 11 attacks, and her quixotic efforts to impeach the president.

McKinney favors pulling troops out of Iraq and Afghanistan, creating a Department of Peace, and reparations for slavery, among other measures. Her running mate is Rosa Clemente, who is described as a "hip-hop artist, journalist and activist."

As the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports, McKinney seems to be targeting far-left voters disenchanted with Barack Obama.

Green Party Launch New York Ballot Drive

Green Party presidential nominee Cynthia McKinney spoke in New York to launch a ballot drive

By Jonathan Shannon

Green Party presidential nominee Cynthia McKinney spoke in New York to launch the drive to get the Green Party on the ballot, July 18. The Green Party needs 30,000 signatures by August 19.

Keywords: Analysis, Manhattan, Government, Elections,

McKinney addressed over thirty supporters at the Manhattan Neighborhood Network and attacked the failure of the Democratic Party's Congressional majority. McKinney served six terms as a Democratic Congresswoman from Georgia before being, in her own words, "unceremoniously dumped" in 2006.

Describing why she choose to run for the Green Party McKinney said: "It's certainly not a journey that I expected or planned, but it has become an imperative journey." McKinney went on to say that in 2006 the American people voted Democrat for peace but got war. "What the American people thought they were getting was leadership in opposition to the policies of the Bush administration, but that's not what they got at all ... the U.S. voter got betrayed", McKinney said. "The Democratic leadership [became] complicit with the Republican leadership in war crimes, in crimes against humanity, in torture, in crimes against the peace" she said.

Responding to a question about African-Americans McKinney again concentrated on Democratic failings. She quoted the James Taylor Quartet song "Don't Let Me Be Lonely Tonight" as encapsulating the "one-sided, dysfunctional relationship" which failed to protect African-American votes in Florida in 2000.

(San Francisco) Former Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney Joins Cindy for Congress as Honorary Co-Chair as No-Strings Occupation and War Funding, Telecom Immunity Bills Are Ushered Through Democrat-controlled Congress

McKinney: "The point was to change Washington, DC, but instead Washington, DC changed Nancy Pelosi"

As a sign of tightening opposition to the string of hope-reversing policies being put forward by Speaker Pelosi, Green Party Presidential and pro-peace candidate Cynthia McKinney agreed to serve as an Honorary Co-Chair of Cindy Sheehan's campaign to oust Nancy Pelosi from Congress. "Nancy Pelosi needs to phone home, because it's clear that she's forgotten the values of the people of California who sent her to Congress. The point was to change Washington, DC, but instead Washington, DC changed Nancy Pelosi," commented McKinney, a former colleague of Pelosi.

Enjoying the support of 313 of the 541 Delegate votes cast, Saturday, July 12th, 2008, Cynthia McKinney won the Green Party nomination in the first round of balloting at the Green Party's Chicago Convention.

In her thirty-five minute acceptance speech, broadcast on CSPAN, she told those assembled:

But we make history today only because we must. In 2008, after two stolen Presidential elections and eight years of George W. Bush, and at least two years of Democratic Party complicity, the racket is about war crimes, torture, crimes against the peace; the racket is about crimes against the Constitution, crimes against the American people, and crimes against the global community. The racket is even about values that we thought were long settled as reasonable to pursue, like liberty and justice, and economic opportunity, for all. Yes, Sojourner, there's a lot out of kilter now, but these two women, Rosa and me, joined by all the men and women in this room, are going to do our best to turn this country right side up again.

. . .

We will never get a United States that is reflective of different values if we continue to do the same thing. Those who delivered us into this mess cannot be trusted to get us out of it.

That's why I signed up to do something I've never done before so I can have something I've never had before: My country, made in the likeness of the values of the Green Party.

. . .

And that's why I know we need an opposition party in this country. With over 200 elected officials already, the Green Party can become this country's premier opposition Party. One thing is clear, Democratic and Republican values are not Green Party values. And honestly, I believe, Green Party values are the values held by the majority in this country. And through our vigorous Power to the People campaign, we will proclaim our presence to every nook and cranny of this country. We are needed now, more than ever . . .

Beyond 2010 European Grand Strategy in a Global Age

The Venusberg Group is a high-level group of security and defence experts from across Europe
brought together by the Bertelsmann Stiftung in Guetersloh and the Center for Applied Policy
Research (CAP) in Munich to examine the future of EU security policy. The Group was formed in
early 1999 following a meeting that took place at a hotel on the Venusberg near Bonn, close to
the Petersberg where in 1992 European leaders established the basis for EU defence.

After “Enhancing the European Union as an International Security Actor” (2000) and “A
European Defence Strategy” (2004), “Beyond 2010. European Grand Strategy in a Global Age”
is the third report of the Venusberg Group. The report is based on a series of in-depth discussions
and input papers by the group members. Julian Lindley-French, in addition to his own
contribution, then brought the many strands together through the drafting of this report.

From The Wilderness 2003

CHAPTER TWENTY-THREE:
Eating The Chosen People

Fascism should more properly be called corporatism,
since it is the merger of state and corporate power.
- Benito Mussolini

----------

If you understand nothing else about the map that I have been trying to draw for you, understand that the post 9-11 erosion of civil liberties and the economic devastation that is being felt here at home - in the land of The Chosen People - are opposite sides of the same coin. One begets and demands the other, whether the Empire consciously considers it or not. And the currents of behavior depicted on the map dictate, as surely as gravity pulls things down and not up, that what has already started can only get worse. This is both the good news and the bad news. For years many already aware Americans have complained about the complacency of the general population in this country, seeing it as the single biggest obstacle to meaningful change. In the metaphor I used earlier in the book about a ham and eggs breakfast, the American people were playing the role of the chicken rather than the pig.

- Mike Ruppert

The role has changed and the obstacle is being removed...

Some America: Freedom To Fascism quotes

From IMDB

Catherine Austin Fitts (Former Asst. Secretary of Housing)
: The government works for a private bank, and the private bank works for its owners, the true masters.

[from trailer]
Michael Ruppert (Investigator/Author): The Federal Reserve is no more 'federal' than Federal Express. I've never seen a full list of ownership for the Fed -- I don't think anybody has.

[from trailer]
Franklin Sanders (Author/Tax Honesty): Why did we give a monopoly, of creating money out of thin air, to a private corporation?

[from trailer]
Peter Gibbons (Tax Attorney): There is no constitutional basis for a tax on the wages of Americans living and working in the 50 states of the union. Period, end of argument.

[from trailer]
Irwin Schiff (Author): Nobody can know what the law is, because the law is what the judges *say* the law is.

[from trailer]
Aaron Russo: I think it should be clarified, I think government should be transparent to the people.

[from trailer]
Ron Paul (Congressman): You have to get permission from the government for almost *everything*. And if that is the definition of a Police State -- that you can't do anything unless the government gives you permission -- we're well on our way.

[from trailer]
Aaron Russo: I began to have a frightening thought: what if it was our own government we had to be afraid of?

[from trailer]
Franklin Sanders (Author/Tax Honesty): The power of the government has been hijacked, so that the rest of us are made slaves.

[from trailer]
Edwin Viera (Prof. Constitutional Law): What happens if your own government is using more force, and more coercion, on its own citizens, for the purposes of achieving *its* political ends -- is that government engaged in terrorism?

[from trailer]
G. Edward Griffin (Author, 'Creature From Jekyll Island'): Unfortunately, what is being sold to the American people today, as 'Americanism'... If you peel off the label, you'd find *so* much similarity to what we were fighting against when we were fighting Communism, and Nazism, and Fascism.

[from trailer]
Michael Ruppert (Investigator/Author): Benito Mussolini had a great quote about Fascism: he said that 'Fascism' should be called 'Corporatism' more properly, because it's the perfect merger, of power between the corporation and the State. That's how he defined Fascism! And that's what we're seeing here.

[from trailer]
Edwin Viera (Prof. Constitutional Law): *All* the power is in the people. And to the extent that government becomes alienated from the people, does things the people don't want, power is transferred until you finally come to a Police State, totalitarian state, whatever word you want to give it -- where the desires of the people really have no consequence. They go out and they vote, doesn't make any difference which candidate they elect.

HOW MATT DRUDGE CENSORS THE NEWS

By Cliff Kincaid

July 15, 2008
NewsWithViews.com

At America’s Survival, Inc., we are continuing our public education campaign on the threats posed by communism and the United Nations. We expected opposition from the liberal media. But we are also running into a brick wall in the “conservative” media. The latest scandal is that both the daily and weekly editions of the Washington Times have killed our advertising drawing public attention to Matt Drudge’s censorship of our ads. That is, they refused to run our ads about the censored ads. Can it get any worse than this?

Our intention was to publicize information about Frank Marshall Davis, the Communist, and his associates, who included Barack Obama. Davis was a key member of a communist network in Hawaii that influenced Obama. One of our reports examined the communist network in Hawaii. The other report examined the communist and socialist network in Chicago. The lengthy reports are heavily documented, with exhibits from congressional hearings and testimony, and haven’t been challenged on factual grounds.
